Key Responsibilities of the Subject Matter Expert

As a Subject Matter Expert for Airport Community Systems, the primary responsibilities include:

• System Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of Airport Community Systems to enhance air cargo handling and clearance processes.
• Customs Administration Support: Provide expertise to customs units, especially those handling international air cargo and express mail shipments.
• Regulatory and Legislative Reforms: Support reforms related to Airport Community Systems to align with best practices and improve efficiency.
• International Trade Knowledge: Utilize familiarity with international trade regulations and best practices to optimize cargo movement within Pakistan’s airport systems.
• Complex Systems Integration: Work with multiple systems across public sector domains, ensuring seamless integration for a streamlined single-window environment.

Required Experience and Skills

Experience:

The role requires:

• At least 8 years of post-graduate professional experience in implementing airport community systems and automating air cargo handling.
• Expertise in working with customs administrations, particularly in international air cargo operations.
• Experience in supporting regulatory and legislative changes within Airport Community Systems.
• Knowledge of global best practices in commercial air cargo and experience with complex systems in the public sector.
• IT development and integration experience within a Single Window environment (highly beneficial).

Skills:

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver results within set timeframes.

Qualification:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Management, or a related field from a recognized university.
