I am providing comprehensive human resources support to all AKAH countries, playing a pivotal in aligning HR strategies with AKAH’s overall business objectives, fostering a positive work culture, driving talent management initiatives, and ensuring HR practices are in line with local regulations and global best practices.
· Collaborate with senior leadership to understand organizational goals/objectives and develop HR strategies that support achieving those goals.
· Review country HR strategies and plans to ensure alignment with the overall organizational mandate. Provide technical support in setting indicators for long-term goals and establish mechanisms to track progress.
Research, benchmark, and implement best and cutting-edge practices in HR management. Stay informed and contribute to the development of global policies and procedures. Foster innovation through the sharing of best practices and knowledge gained.
· Provide technical support to the HR teams and offer expert advice to Senior Management on HR policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines. Ensure the highest standards of orientation are maintained.
· Act as the primary point of contact for the country CEO, Heads of HR, and expatriate employees regarding all aspects of the employment life cycle.
· Ensure that organizational programs, policies, and structures effectively address gender equity and other aspects of diversity.
· Ensure equitable and transparent resolution of human resources issues with AKAH countries as per the policies
Establishes systematic feedback mechanisms to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of policies.
· Lead the process of identifying learning needs, planning, designing, and delivering learning programs to enhance employees’ knowledge, skills, and abilities in alignment with the organization’s core competencies.
· Lead and facilitate the talent review process for C-level positions to identify core talent within the organization, ensuring a talent pool for critical positions. Develop a talent development framework to address skill gaps.
· Promote consistency in interpreting and applying policies, procedures and guidelines on people and culture related matters, ensuring compliance across all countries including emergency setting.
· Triage employee relations cases to identify and implement appropriate solutions for varied case types, utilizing established guidelines to ensure consistency across the region.
· Lead the enhancement of AKAH’s learning portal, ensuring the availability of efficient and cost-effective learning resources that are contemporary and aligned with core competencies to enhance employees’ knowledge.
· Conduct thorough workforce analysis to identify current and future talent needs.
· Facilitate various capacity-building initiatives as a trainer
· Drive the development and execution of HR plans aligned with the organization’s global business strategy.
· Implement and enhance talent management strategies to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing global workforce.
· Work closely with regional HR teams to ensure consistency and alignment in talent management practices across different locations.
· Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes.
· Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on employee relations matters.
· Provide robust data analysis and reporting solutions based on regional needs, highlighting trends in employee relations to drive proactive solutions and minimize reactive work.
· Stay abreast of global HR regulations and ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations in all regions of operation.
· Partner with legal and compliance teams to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with local and international laws.
· Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and well-being globally.
· Conduct employee surveys, analyze results, and work with leadership to address areas for improvement.
