The Centre of Digital Communication (CDC), under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, is looking for an Assistant Director (Network & Security) to join its Cyber Wing team.

Key Responsibilities
In your role as Assistant Director (Network & Security), you will be responsible for:

2. Cybersecurity Implementation: Safeguarding the network from internal and external threats by implementing security protocols, conducting audits, and regularly assessing system vulnerabilities.
3. Risk Management: Identifying potential security risks and managing risks by creating and executing effective countermeasures to mitigate any threats to the organization’s IT infrastructure.
4. System Updates & Maintenance: Ensuring all network systems and security software are up to date, applying patches as necessary, and maintaining optimal security standards.
5. Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other teams and departments to ensure that the network infrastructure meets the technical requirements and operational needs of various government functions.
6. Reporting: Providing regular reports on network security status and any potential incidents to higher authorities in the CDC, contributing to timely decision-making processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience
To be eligible for the position, you must meet the following qualifications:
Educational Qualifications
1. Master’s/Bachelor’s degree (16 years education) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
2. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer System Engineering, or a related field recognized by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is also acceptable.
Experience and Certifications
1. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant certifications such as Certified Network Professional (CNP) or any other recognized cybersecurity certifications.
2. A background in managing network systems and implementing security protocols is highly desirable, with candidates having hands-on experience in securing large-scale networks.
Key Skills
1. In-depth knowledge of network management and cybersecurity practices.
2. Familiarity with current security threats and mitigation techniques.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
