The Frequency Allocation Board (FAB), an important government organization responsible for managing radio frequency spectrum in Pakistan, has announced vacancies for the position of Assistant Director (Technical/EG-2).

Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in ICT or Telecom.
- Preference will be given to individuals with experience in Fixed and Wireless Communication and Radio Spectrum Management.
Educational Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must meet one of the following educational criteria:
- Master’s degree (MSc) in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, or Computer Engineering from a reputable institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or 75% marks (in annual system).
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Telecommunication, Electrical, Electronics, or Electrical & Computer Engineering from a reputable institution with the same minimum CGPA of 3.5 or 75% marks.
- Additionally, valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is mandatory for all applicants.
Skills and Knowledge
A successful candidate for the Assistant Director role must have the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of industry standards such as IEEE, ITU, ETSI, and 3GPP/3GPP2.
- Awareness of the latest technical trends like 5G, OTT (Over-the-Top Services), Cloud Computing, IoT (Internet of Things), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Big Data.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of MS Project.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
