Job Responsibilities of an Assistant Professor of Paediatric Urology

Teaching & Academic Responsibilities

1. Educating and training medical students and junior doctors in the field of paediatric urology.

2. Developing curriculum and conducting lectures on urological diseases and surgical treatments in children.

3. Supervising postgraduate students and helping them in their research work.

Clinical & Surgical Duties

4. Diagnosing and treating paediatric patients with urological conditions.

5. Performing surgeries related to paediatric urinary tract disorders.

6. Working with a multidisciplinary team to provide specialized care to children.

7. Ensuring patient safety and following medical guidelines as per PMDC/PMC regulations.

Research & Development

8. Conducting research in paediatric urology to improve medical treatments and techniques.

9. Publishing articles and case studies in medical journals.

10. Participating in medical conferences and workshops.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification Requirements

15. MBBS or an equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC/PMC.

16. Full registration with PMDC/PMC.

17. One of the following postgraduate qualifications:

18. FCPS/MS/FRCS/Diplomate American Board in Paediatric Urology (or equivalent qualification).

19. FCPS/MS/FRCS/Diplomate American Board in Paediatric Surgery/General Surgery (or equivalent qualification).

20. FCPS/MS/FRCS/Diplomate American Board in Urology (or equivalent qualification).

Experience Requirements

21. Minimum three years of teaching/practical experience in Paediatric Urology at a PMDC/PMC-recognized institution.

22. Candidates with FCPS/MS/FRCS in Paediatric Surgery/General Surgery must have one year of experience in Paediatric Urology.

23. Candidates with FCPS/MS/FRCS in Urology must have one year of experience in Paediatric Urology.
