Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must have the following:

  • An MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC).
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as FCPS, MS, FRCS, MRCP, or MD in a relevant specialty.
  • Candidates who do not meet the above qualifications can still apply if they have an MBBS and additional relevant postgraduate experience.

Experience

Candidates should have:

  • Five years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in Critical Care/ICU or an equivalent position.
  • At least three research papers published in recognized medical journals.

Note: Experience from government sectors will only be accepted if recognized by the PMDC.

As an Associate Professor in Critical Care/ICU, you will be expected to:

  • Teach and Mentor: Provide quality education and mentorship to medical students and junior staff in critical care practices.
  • Conduct Research: Engage in and guide research projects that contribute to advancements in critical care and ICU practices.
  • Clinical Practice: Oversee and provide direct patient care in ICU settings, ensuring high standards of medical practice are maintained.
