Role and Responsibilities

The Associate Software Engineer – DevOps will be responsible for managing and automating the development, testing, and deployment processes.

The role focuses on ensuring that software applications are smoothly built, tested, and deployed across different stages of development. Here are the key duties and responsibilities:

1. Deployment and Support

Deploy microservices across various environments such as SIT, QA, UAT, Staging, and Production.

Assist in Go-Live activities, ensuring smooth transitions during software releases.

2. System Management

Manage the build, test, integration, and deployment processes in production and disaster recovery (DR) environments.

Document system configurations, processes, and tools used by the team to ensure smooth operations and easy troubleshooting.

3. Collaboration and Communication

Collaborate effectively with other teams, including development and systems administration, to create and deploy Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) infrastructure.

Ensure clear communication with all stakeholders and assist in on-call rotations when required.

4. Compliance and Best Practices

Ensure adherence to release and change management processes.

Implement Agile and DevOps methodologies, working within a structured and efficient framework.

5. Containerization and Scripting

Work with Kubernetes clusters, managing multiple nodes for containerized applications.

Utilize Git version control for managing software development.

Automate the build and deployment of .NET core and microservices applications.

Use scripting languages like Bash and YAML to enhance automation.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Skills and Experience:

Experience: While the role is entry-level and requires no prior experience, up to 3 years of experience in DevOps or related roles is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with Ubuntu Linux platform.
• Familiarity with CI/CD implementation tools like Jenkins and Argocd.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Basic understanding of scripting languages like Bash and YAML.
• Familiarity with Git version control and automation of software builds.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Linux Administration Certification (RHCSA)
• GitOps Certified with ArgoCD
• Source Control Management with Git (SC102)
