Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Software Engineer – DevOps, you will play an essential role in the deployment and management of microservices across various stages including SIT, QA, UAT, Staging, and Production. Here are some of your main duties:

  1. Microservices Deployment: Deploy microservices in different environments such as SIT, QA, UAT, Staging, and Production.
  2. Go-Live Activities: Assist with Go-Live activities and ensure successful software deployments.
  3. CI/CD Management: Manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to automate the build, test, and deployment stages.
  4. System Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configuration, processes, and tools.
  5. On-call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours deployment support when required.
  6. Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with development and systems administration teams to build and manage CI/CD infrastructure.
  7. Kubernetes Management: Manage Kubernetes clusters to ensure smooth deployment and operation.

Skills and Qualifications

To qualify for this role, the following skills and qualifications are necessary:

  1. Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Experience: Fresh to 3 years of experience in DevOps or a related role.
  3. Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Ubuntu Linux.
    • Experience with CI/CD implementation using tools such as Jenkins and Argocd.
    • Familiarity with GitLab for version control.
    • Solid understanding of Docker and containerization.
    • Ability to automate the build and deployment of .NET core and microservices applications.
    • Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Bash and YAML.
    • Experience with Linux Administration (RHCSA) and GitOps certification with ArgoCD is a plus.
  4. Soft Skills:
    • Self-motivated and quick learner.
    • Team player with the ability to work under pressure.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
