Job Overview

Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer

Location: Islamabad, Pakistan

Experience: Minimum 3 years (relevant experience preferred)

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field

Key Responsibilities

As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Your responsibilities will include:

Cloud Infrastructure Management

1. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

2. Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.

3. Manage and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, and Virtual Machines.

4. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.

Security and Compliance

1. Ensure the security and compliance of DevOps practices using Azure Security Center, Key Vault, and RBAC.

2. Implement DevSecOps best practices to safeguard cloud infrastructure.

Automation and Scripting

1. Develop and maintain scripts for automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

2. Troubleshoot issues related to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and deployments.

Project Management

1. Set up and manage Azure DevOps dashboards.

2. Configure and maintain work items, sprints, and backlogs in Azure Boards.

3. Monitor and optimize resource utilization.

4. Develop custom reports and analytics dashboards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

1. 3+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud automation, and Agile project management.

2. Strong knowledge of Azure services (Azure DevOps, AKS, Virtual Machines, App Services, Networking).

3. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

4. Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.

5. Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

6. Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

7. Strong understanding of security best practices (IAM, RBAC, secrets management).

Preferred Qualifications

1. Azure certifications (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

2. Experience with GitOps practices and tools (Flux, ArgoCD).

3. Familiarity with serverless computing and microservices architectures.

4. Knowledge of networking concepts in Azure (VNETs, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateways).
