Job Description

The Government of Punjab’s Agriculture Department, Extension Wing, is offering a one-year Internship Program for 1,000 Agriculture Graduates. This initiative, part of the Chief Minister Punjab Agriculture Transformation Plan, aims to provide practical, field-oriented training to both male and female graduates, preparing them to meet the future needs of the agriculture sector.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the internship program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Qualification: BSc (Hons) Agriculture.
  • Age Limit: Up to 25 years.
  • Residential Status: Candidates must have a domicile of the respective district.
  • Must have smartphone for performing ICT-based activities.
  • Skills Required:
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Understanding of agricultural farming practices.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Sound understanding of agricultural issues.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates can follow these steps to apply for the internship program:

  • Application Form: Download the application form and detailed job description from the official website of the Agriculture Department Punjab or collect it from the Director Agriculture (Extension) office.
  • Submission: Submit the completed application form along with the required documents to the Director Agriculture (Extension) of the respective district.
  • Deadline: Ensure that applications are submitted by 5th August 2024.
  • Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be invited for an interview by the district selection committee.
  • Final Selection: The final selection will be based on academic qualifications, relevant experience, and performance in the interview.

Note: No TA/DA will be provided for the interview.
