Key Responsibilities of the Company Secretary
The Company Secretary plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the bank’s corporate governance and legal matters. Some of the key responsibilities include:

Experience and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Pakistan, with at least 3 years of experience directly dealing with the Board of Directors and corporate matters in a financial institution regulated by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
- A professional qualification as a member of a recognized body of professional accountants, corporate or chartered secretaries, or a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or Law from an HEC-recognized university.
Key Skills Required
To succeed as a Company Secretary, you should have:
- Extensive knowledge of corporate laws, regulations, and governance principles in Pakistan.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
