Are you passionate about data analysis and protecting the environment? The Environmental Protection & Climate Change Department, Punjab is offering an excellent opportunity for skilled individuals to join as a Data Analyst.
This is a contract-based position located in Lahore, Punjab, and it’s ideal for candidates with a strong background in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
This role plays a vital part in supporting environmental monitoring efforts, particularly under the Environmental Monitoring of Industrial Units (DUI & II) project. It offers a chance to contribute to cleaner air and a healthier environment across Punjab.
About the Department
The Environmental Protection & Climate Change Department is responsible for maintaining and improving environmental standards in the province. One of its key responsibilities includes monitoring industrial pollution, air quality, and water safety.
The department ensures that factories and other units follow regulations to reduce pollution and support sustainable development in Pakistan.
The department operates through various projects and sub-offices, including 08 EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) labs under the supervision of the Director (Monitoring, Laboratory & Inspection – ML&I). These labs help collect, compile, and analyze environmental data across the province.

Key Responsibilities
Data Management and Compilation
1. Collect and compile data from Air Quality Monitoring Systems (AQMS).
2. Organize and store data centrally from 08 Environmental Protection Agency labs.
3. Coordinate with lab teams and ensure accurate data flow to the central office.
Data Analysis and Reporting
1. Analyze collected data for trends and anomalies.
2. Prepare detailed reports for internal use and environmental assessments.
3. Support policy development and compliance checks with accurate data.
Who Can Apply?
Eligibility Criteria
1. Education: Bachelor’s (Hons) / Master’s Degree (16 years of education) in:
– Computer Science
– Computer Engineering
– Information Technology
2. Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in data analysis.
3. Skills:
– Expertise in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
– Ability to work with environmental data systems (AQMS).
– Strong understanding of data management tools and reporting formats.
