Qualification Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must have one of the following degrees from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university:
- M.Phil. in Public Policy, Environmental Sciences, or Geo-Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Development.
- M.Sc. (Second Division) in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
Experience Requirements
- Experience: 7 Years in the relevant field, either in the public or private sector.
- Details: The experience must be acquired after completing the required qualifications. Practical or research experience will be considered.
- Note: Experience from private entities will be valid only if the entity is registered with the SECP, Registrar of Firms, or other regulatory authorities.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Deputy Director (Climate Change), you will play a crucial role in shaping climate policies and ensuring sustainable development in Punjab. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing Climate Strategies: Designing and implementing policies to address climate change issues at both provincial and national levels.
- Monitoring Environmental Policies: Keeping track of the effectiveness of climate change initiatives and recommending improvements.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Working closely with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations to promote environmental sustainability.
- Leading Projects: Managing climate change projects aimed at reducing environmental impact and promoting renewable energy and resource conservation.
- Policy Development: Drafting guidelines, reports, and strategies on climate change and sustainable development.
