Job Responsibilities of a Deputy Manager Basin Studies
Geological Research & Analysis
1. Conducting detailed geological surveys and mapping
2. Studying sedimentary basins to assess mineral and hydrocarbon resources
3. Analyzing rock structures and compositions
Resource Evaluation & Development
1. Identifying potential mineral-rich zones
2. Assessing groundwater and hydrocarbon reserves
3. Assisting in the exploration and extraction of resources
Data Interpretation & Reporting
1. Using GIS, remote sensing, and geological modeling tools
2. Preparing technical reports based on research findings
3. Advising policymakers and industries on resource management
Environmental & Hazard Assessment
1. Monitoring geological hazards like landslides and earthquakes
2. Ensuring sustainable resource extraction practices
3. Conducting environmental impact assessments
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
1. M.Sc. Geology (specialization in Mineralogy, Petrology, Structural Geology) OR
2. M.Sc. Applied Geology or an equivalent qualification
Skills & Competencies
1. Strong knowledge of geological formations and mineral resources
2. Ability to use geological mapping software and tools
3. Analytical skills to interpret geological data and reports
4. Effective communication and report-writing skills
Eligibility Criteria
1. Gender: Male, Female & Transgender
2. Age Limit:
– Male: 21 to 30 years (+5 years relaxation) = 35 years max
– Female: 21 to 30 years (+8 years relaxation) = 38 years max
– Transgender: Age and sex based on CNIC details
3. Domicile: Open for candidates from Punjab
4. Location: Can be anywhere in Punjab
