The consultant will play a crucial role in developing a long-term strategy (2025-2030) to uplift women working in the cotton industry by equipping them with essential skills for sustainable livelihoods.

Sindh Community Foundation (SCF) is a well-established non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to empowering marginalized communities in Sindh, Pakistan. SCF works on various social development initiatives, focusing on women’s economic empowerment, education, health, and environmental sustainability.

To further its mission, SCF is hiring an experienced consultant to design a five-year Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Strategy and an Operational Plan while developing a Green Skills Package for women cotton workers in Sindh.

Job Overview

SCF is seeking an experienced consultant with a strong background in economic empowerment strategies, gender studies, and agricultural programs.
The consultant will play a crucial role in developing a long-term strategy (2025-2030) to uplift women working in the cotton industry by equipping them with essential skills for sustainable livelihoods.

Key Responsibilities

1. Developing a Five-Year Strategy (2025-2030) focused on women’s economic empowerment in the agriculture sector.

2. Creating an Operational Plan to implement and monitor the strategy effectively.

3. Designing a Green Skills Development Package specifically tailored for women cotton workers in Sindh.

4. Conducting Research & Analysis to identify the challenges and opportunities for women’s economic inclusion in the cotton industry.

5. Engaging with Stakeholders such as government agencies, NGOs, and agricultural experts to ensure the strategy aligns with national and global best practices.

6. Providing Policy Recommendations to support sustainable development and gender-inclusive economic growth.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Economics, Agriculture, Gender Studies, or related fields.

2. Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in developing women’s economic empowerment strategies, especially in the agriculture sector.
