Financial Management Specialist Role and Responsibilities
As a Financial Management Specialist, your primary role will involve overseeing the financial management of the DEEP project.
You will be responsible for ensuring the proper allocation and utilization of financial resources, preparing reports, and providing strategic financial advice. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Oversight: Manage the financial systems and processes for the DEEP project.
- Budget Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the project.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports as per the guidelines of the World Bank and Government of Pakistan.
- Collaboration: Work closely with international financial institutions and donors to ensure proper financial management.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with World Bank financial management procedures and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills Required
To be eligible for the position of Financial Management Specialist, you must meet the following qualifications and skills:
Educational Qualification:
– Minimum of 16 years of education from a reputable university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
– Professional certifications (e.g., CA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA) are highly desirable.
Experience:
– At least 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 4 years in financial management of large-scale projects.
– Experience in managing finances for international organizations or government bodies is highly advantageous.
– Experience with international donor-funded projects is a plus.
Key Skills:
– Proven ability to manage financial systems and processes effectively.
– Strong analytical skills to handle complex financial data.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
– Proficiency in financial management software.
– Familiarity with financial regulations, particularly those of the World Bank.
Contract and Benefits
The Financial Management Specialist will be hired on a 48-month contract. While this position does not provide medical or other benefits, the remuneration will follow World Bank guidelines and be based on the scope of work defined for the position.
Additional benefits include:
- Travel expenses as approved by the World Bank and Government of Pakistan.
- The role will require strict adherence to the rules and regulations of the World Bank and the Government of Pakistan.
- Official attire is required while reporting to work.
