Job Description

Are you an experienced engineer looking to lead major marine infrastructure projects? The Korangi Fisheries Harbour Authority (KFHA) is seeking a General Manager (Engineering) to oversee the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of critical civil and electrical engineering works.

This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of one of Pakistan’s key fisheries hubs.

Experience and Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience in civil or electrical engineering, particularly in the context of ports and harbors.
• Qualifications: A BS/BE (4-year degree) in Civil or Electrical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university.
• Skills: Expertise in engineering project management, infrastructure planning, and strong leadership abilities.

Responsibilities of the General Manager (Engineering)

As the General Manager (Engineering), you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of KFHA, a key marine infrastructure project in Pakistan. Your role will ensure the functionality and sustainability of the harbor through effective project management and engineering.

Project Leadership and Engineering Expertise

Your primary duty will be to lead engineering teams and contractors in the design, construction, and maintenance of both civil and electrical works related to the harbor. You will manage projects that include the construction of new infrastructure, repairs, and regular upkeep of port facilities.

Infrastructure Planning and Design

You will work closely with your team to ensure that the port’s civil and electrical infrastructure is planned and executed efficiently. This includes drafting and reviewing designs for new projects, assessing their feasibility, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Maintenance and Operational Oversight

You will also be responsible for ensuring that all infrastructure is regularly maintained and fully operational, mitigating risks, reducing downtime, and ensuring smooth harbor operations.

Project Monitoring and Reporting

Regular project monitoring, cost management, and reporting will be essential parts of your role. You will collaborate with stakeholders, including government officials and contractors, to ensure timely project completion.
