Job Description

The National IT Board (NITB) is seeking qualified individuals to apply for the position of Implementation Officer.

This role is tailored for professionals with a background in Information Technology (IT) and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growing needs of government IT infrastructure in Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

As an Implementation Officer, your primary duties will involve:

  • Technical Support: Provide hands-on assistance in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • System Deployment: Work on the implementation of IT projects, including software solutions like Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS).
  • User Training: Conduct training sessions to guide end-users in effectively using the installed systems.
  • Data Accuracy: Monitor and ensure the accuracy of data entered into the systems and assist in detecting errors.
  • Progress Reporting: Help in preparing detailed monthly and quarterly progress reports.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the IT systems function efficiently and meet the needs of the government or public/private firms you’ll be working with.

Qualifications and Experience

To be eligible for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Software, or Computer Science from a recognized university.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, such as a support engineer or implementation assistant.
    • Prior experience in government organizations or reputable public/private firms is highly desirable.
    • Experience working with Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS) will be an added advantage.
  • Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 35 years, with some age relaxation possible under government rules.

Required Skills

Candidates should have strong technical and interpersonal skills, including:

  • Hardware and Software Knowledge: Proficient in managing computer hardware and accessories, as well as standard office applications.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of diagnosing issues, troubleshooting errors, and applying solutions promptly.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to explain technical processes clearly to end-users.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data input and configurations.
  • Learning Ability: Quick to adapt to new technologies and tools.

The position also requires proficiency in creating documents, spreadsheets, and presentations using various computer software tools. The ability to work collaboratively and provide training to end-users is essential.
