Job Description

This role is designed to ensure smooth implementation of the Accord Safety Training Program and the Complaints Mechanism, which aim to raise worker awareness about safety, promote safe work environments, and address workplace grievances effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Handling Complaints:

– Receive and log complaints through various channels.

– Monitor complaints filed via phone or other systems.

– Document follow-up actions in the system.

– Alert the team for immediate action if required.

2. Develop and Maintain Information Systems:

– Create and manage spreadsheets to support the complaints mechanism.

– Assist in developing other management systems to streamline operations.

3. Promotion and Awareness:

– Develop strategies to raise worker awareness about the complaints mechanism.

– Contribute to creating promotional materials.

4. Data Management and Reporting:

– Maintain accurate qualitative and quantitative data.

– Edit and ensure quality control for complaints summaries.

– Prepare internal and public reports as needed.

5. Other Duties:

– Visit factories for inspections or complaints follow-up.

– Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.

– Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Background:

– Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in social sciences, safety and health, or a relevant discipline.

Experience:

– Minimum of 3 years of experience in complaints handling or similar roles.

– Proven experience dealing with diverse stakeholders, including trade unions, workers, and employers.

Skills:

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced spreadsheet skills.

– Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

– Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive data.

– Knowledge of the textile and garment sector is a plus.
