Responsibilities of the IT Administrator

Network Management

1. Configure, monitor, and maintain LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations to ensure reliable network performance.

2. Manage network hardware, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.

3. Enforce network security protocols to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure.

Database Administration

1. Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases to ensure data backup, availability, and integrity.

2. Perform routine maintenance, optimize queries, and handle database migrations as required.

3. Implement data protection protocols, including backups, restoration, and encryption.

IT Hardware Support

1. Handle, operate, and install IT equipment such as computers, laptops, multimedia projectors, printers, copiers, and scanners.

2. Respond to customer and colleague queries regarding networks, systems, and applications through a help desk.

3. Assist in the procurement of IT equipment and supplies.
