Job Description

The role of Deputy Superintendent Jail, PSO to Commandant, or Senior Instructor in Prison Management is a crucial position within the Home & Tribal Affairs Department.

This position involves overseeing prison management and ensuring the efficient functioning of correctional facilities. The job is essential for maintaining order, security, and discipline within the prison system.

Key Responsibilities:

Prison Management: Supervise daily operations within the prison, ensuring compliance with regulations and protocols.

Security Oversight: Implement and monitor security measures to prevent escapes and ensure the safety of both inmates and staff.

Administrative Duties: Handle administrative tasks such as record-keeping, report generation, and coordinating with other departments.

Training & Development: Provide training to prison staff on best practices, security measures, and effective management techniques.

Inmate Management: Oversee the rehabilitation and reformation programs for inmates, ensuring they adhere to institutional rules.

Emergency Response: Act swiftly in case of emergencies, including riots or medical situations, to manage and mitigate risks.

Requirements:

Physical Standards:

  • Height: Minimum of 5 feet and 7 inches.
  • Chest: 33 inches without expansion; 33.5 inches with expansion.
  • Vision: 6/6 vision without glasses.
  • Health: Must be free from any kind of disability.

Experience: At least three (03) years of service as an Assistant Superintendent Jail.
