The Government of Punjab’s Women Development Department is seeking a qualified individual to join as Manager (Projects/Initiatives).

This role is crucial for managing and implementing strategic projects aimed at empowering women and ensuring gender equality in the province. The contract is extendable subject to performance and project continuation.

Job Overview

The Manager (Projects/Initiatives) will play a pivotal role in planning and overseeing various projects related to women’s development. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

This contract-based position is part of the development project titled “Strategic Planning and Implementation Unit 2024-27” and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the empowerment of women in Punjab.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning: Lead the planning and development of projects, including preparation of PC-1 documents for government projects.

2. Budgeting and Financial Management: Prepare budgets for projects and manage grant proposals and funding allocation efficiently.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and community organizations, to ensure successful project implementation.

4. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the progress of projects and prepare detailed reports on their performance and impact on women’s development.

Key Requirements

1. Education: A Master’s or M.Phil degree (16 years of education) in Sociology, Project Management, Economics, International Development Studies, or Gender Studies from a recognized university in Pakistan.

2. Experience: A minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in project management or a related field, including experience in budgeting, grant proposal preparation, and project planning.

3. Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and computer applications. Must be able to work collaboratively with stakeholders and have experience in project planning, PC-1 development, and budgeting.

This job is a project-based position with an initial contract period until June 2027. If the project is extended, the incumbent may be considered for an extension based on satisfactory performance.
