About the Role
As a MEAL Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating various projects in housing, livelihoods, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene). Your job will involve tracking project progress, ensuring data accuracy, and helping to improve program effectiveness.
You will also work closely with field staff to maintain quality standards and ensure accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Evaluation
1. Assist in implementing MEAL guidelines as per Muslim Aid Verified’s standards.
2. Design, conduct, and manage baseline assessments and data collection methods.
3. Conduct Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) and surveys to assess project impact.
4. Develop MEAL Plans and manage Project Progress Matrices (PPMs).
5. Conduct regular field visits, hold debrief sessions, and prepare monitoring reports.
6. Track project progress, identify gaps, and troubleshoot issues.
7. Maintain and update MEAL databases and trackers.
Data Validation & Quality Assurance
1. Perform quarterly data quality checks to ensure accurate reporting.
2. Collect and validate Means of Verification (MoVs) for project activities.
3. Regularly update data on TolaData to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Reporting
1. Prepare and maintain quality reports reflecting project progress.
2. Assist in developing monthly, quarterly, and project completion reports.
3. Ensure all reports align with the organization’s strategies, policies, and project frameworks.
Accountability & Learning
1. Implement and maintain an accountability mechanism for project stakeholders.
2. Conduct Community and Humanitarian Standards (CHS) sessions.
3. Organize Complaint Response & Feedback Mechanism (CRFM) sessions.
4. Analyze accountability data and report to the MEAL Manager.
5. Support in developing and maintaining learning-sharing mechanisms for project teams.
Safeguarding & Compliance
1. Ensure that all safeguarding guidelines are strictly followed.
2. Train team members on safeguarding policies and ensure compliance.
3. Handle safeguarding concerns effectively as per policy guidelines.
Stakeholder Management
1. Maintain effective communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
2. Implement organization policies related to HR, Admin, and Programmes.

Required Qualifications & Experience
1. Postgraduate degree in International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
2. 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Housing, Livelihoods, and WASH projects.
