Job Overview

As a Project Director at the Planning & Development Department, you will be responsible for overseeing key infrastructure projects in Balochistan.

This role requires a solid track record of project management, urban planning, and a deep understanding of civil engineering principles. The position is contract-based and based in Dera Bugti, Balochistan.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management and Oversight

1. Lead infrastructure development projects, particularly in road design and drainage systems.

2. Manage all aspects of project execution, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

3. Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and various stakeholders.

2. Urban Planning and Infrastructure Development

1. Master planning and urban infrastructure design including roads and drainage systems.

2. Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of urban infrastructures like roads, drainage systems, and flood control measures.

3. Ensure that projects align with local needs and government policies.

3. Technical Expertise and Planning

1. Provide expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), CAD, and other relevant software for design and planning.

2. Develop and implement designs for stormwater management, drainage systems, and flood control measures.

4. Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting

1. Regularly engage with local authorities, government officials, and project stakeholders.

2. Ensure that all relevant parties are informed and involved at every stage of the project.

3. Prepare and submit reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills Required

1. Educational Background

1. A minimum of 16 years of education with a specialization in Civil Engineering.

2. Registration with PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) is mandatory.

2. Professional Experience

1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, master planning, urban planning, and infrastructure development.

2. Proven expertise in road design, drainage systems, and urban infrastructure is crucial.

3. Technical Skills

1. Strong knowledge of topographic surveys, road design, construction, and maintenance practices.

2. Proficiency in using software tools such as Civil 3D, 12D, and others for hydrology and urban planning designs.

4. Leadership and Management

1. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively manage all aspects of the project lifecycle.

2. Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate between different teams and stakeholders.
