Job Description

The Revenue Department of the Government of Punjab is seeking applications for sixty-eight (68) posts of Naib Tehsildar (Ministerial Quota) across various divisions. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates to join the department on a regular basis, serving at the BS-14 pay scale.

Job Overview

The Naib Tehsildar plays a crucial role in the administration and management of revenue-related tasks within their respective divisions. This position requires individuals to be knowledgeable in various aspects of revenue laws and proficient in administrative duties.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Graduation (second division) from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in basic computer skills including MS Office, electronic record-keeping, and internet usage.
  • Experience: Senior Clerks and Junior Clerks with at least 3 years of regular service in the Board of Revenue or its subordinate offices, such as the Colonies Department, Consolidation of Holdings Department, Disaster Management Department, Revenue Department, Directorate of Land Records, Directorate of Kachi Abadies, Punjab Privatization Board, and offices of Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, and Assistant Commissioners in Punjab.

Examination Details

Candidates may need to undergo a written examination, which comprises three papers totaling 150 marks:

  • Paper-1: MCQs Type General Ability Written Test (100 marks)
    • Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Islamic Studies (General Knowledge for Non-Muslim candidates), Everyday Science, Basic Knowledge of English & Urdu
    • Punjab Land Revenue Act-1967, Punjab Tenancy Act-1887, Land Acquisition Act-1894
    • Basic Computer Studies (including MS Office, electronic record keeping, internet, email, etc.)
  • Paper-2: English Essay (25 marks)
  • Paper-3: Urdu Essay (25 marks)

Gender, Domicile, and Posting

  • Gender: Open to Male, Female, and Transgender candidates.
  • Domicile: Division wise.
  • Place of Posting: Anywhere within the concerned division.
    • Note: Age and gender for transgender candidates will be based on their CNIC details.

Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for a Psychological Assessment and Interview (200 marks). Negative marking will be applied, deducting 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in the MCQ papers. To qualify for the interview, candidates must secure at least 40% marks in each paper and 50% in aggregate. Additionally, candidates need to score 50% in the interview to be considered for the final merit list.

  • Faisalabad Division: Faisalabad, T.T Singh, Jhang, and Chiniot (7 posts)
  • Sahiwal Division: Sahiwal, Pakpattan, and Okara (6 posts)
  • Bahawalpur Division: Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Bahawalnagar (7 posts)
  • Multan Division: Multan, Vehari, Khanewal, and Lodhran (8 posts)
  • D.G. Khan Division: D.G. Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, and Layyah (7 posts)
