The Forestry, Wildlife & Fisheries Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Database Administrator (BS-17) on a contract basis for a period of five years. Age Limit:
- Male: 23 to 30 years + 5 years relaxation (up to 35 years)
- Female: 23 to 30 years + 8 years relaxation (up to 38 years)
- Transgender: Based on the contents of their CNIC
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s Degree (First Division or Grade-B) in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- OR
- Bachelor’s Degree (Four years, First Division or Grade-B) in Computer Science or Information Technology from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
- Two years of experience in the field of Electronic Data Processing IT, System Analysis, Computer Programming, or Administration of Database.
- Certified Database Administrator, preferably Oracle certified.
Note: Practical experience is required after the prescribed qualification.
Job Responsibilities
As a Database Administrator in the Forestry, Wildlife & Fisheries Department, your key responsibilities will include:
- Database Management: Overseeing the performance, integrity, and security of databases. Ensuring data availability and consistency.
- System Analysis: Analyzing system requirements and implementing efficient database solutions.
- Data Processing: Managing electronic data processing to enhance data accessibility and reliability.

Selection Process
Candidates will undergo a one-paper MCQ type written test, comprising 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes. The test syllabus includes:
- Qualification Related Questions (80%)
- General Ability (20%) covering General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, English, Urdu, Basic Mathematics, and Everyday Science.
