Quality Assurance Engineer at National IT Board (NITB)
Job Description
The National IT Board (NITB) is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract position in Islamabad. This is an opportunity for experienced IT professionals to ensure the quality of software systems, particularly in healthcare through the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice to senior management on HMIS and other software applications.
- Identify and document software defects for resolution.
- Perform manual and automated testing including User Acceptance, Smoke, Black Box, White Box, and Cybersecurity Testing.
- Validate patient data security and test HMIS performance under high load.
- Collaborate with developers and vendors to resolve software performance issues.
- Update project manager on testing progress and suggest improvements.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation, defect logs, and compliance reports.
- Provide support and training to hospital staff during testing phases.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Software, or Computer Science from a recognized university.
- Experience: 8 years of total experience, with at least 5 years as a Quality Assurance Engineer in HMIS or related systems.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools is preferred.
