Qualifications & Skills

To succeed as a Research Officer at PILAC, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Educational Background: An M.Phil. or equivalent qualification in relevant subjects such as Punjabi, Saraiki, Urdu, History, Archeology, Pakistan Studies, Fine Arts, Philosophy, Sociology, or Anthropology.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in research and publication related to languages, arts, and culture. Experience in private entities will be considered if the organization is registered with SECP, Registrar of Firms, or another regulatory body.
  • Skills Required:
    • Strong grasp of research methodologies
    • In-depth knowledge of Punjab’s history, arts, and culture
    • Familiarity with the literary and linguistic history of Punjab
    • General research ability and analytical skills
