Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Research Officer, you will be involved in high-level research and development activities, specifically focusing on biotechnology and nanotechnology applications. Some of your key responsibilities include:

• Product Design & Development: You will be tasked with designing and developing products like microbial soil biofactors, biopesticides, and nano-fertilizers.
• Experimental Planning: Oversee experimental designs and validation plans for field trials related to agriculture and bio-based materials.
• Project Leadership: Lead research teams and manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring the successful application of biotechnology and nanotechnology in real-world scenarios.
• Data Collection & Analysis: Monitor field trials, collect data, and conduct statistical analysis using tools like R, SAS, and SPSS.
• Protocol Development: Develop protocols for planting, treatment applications, and data gathering to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Environmental Impact Monitoring: Conduct environmental assessments to monitor the effects of bio and nano-materials and recommend improvements based on findings.
• Computational Modeling: Use computational tools such as Molecular Docking, FASTA, BLAST, and PyRx to analyze and predict molecular interactions.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this position, applicants must have:

• Education: PhD in Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, Metabolic Engineering, or Nanotechnology.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 years in product design, development, and experimental planning.
  • A solid background in applied research and project management.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in agro-market knowledge and experience with value chains.
• Age Limit: The maximum age limit for applicants is 45 years, with age relaxation available under applicable government rules.
