Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any relevant discipline

Skills Required:

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), design patterns, MVC, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience or knowledge of C#, .NET Core, newer .NET versions, SQL Server, or other RDBMS, Dapper, Entity Framework Core.
  • Familiarity with Rest & GraphQL APIs development.
  • Knowledge of source control (Git, SVN) and unit testing tools.
  • Understanding of Golang, NoSQL, and Graph Databases is a plus.
  • Experience in transitioning from monolithic applications to microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with the implementation of SAGA patterns and RabbitMQ.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, agile environment.
  • Experience in creating microservices.

Job Role and Duties

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in Pakistan Single Window’s IT development team. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Developing and Maintaining Software Solutions

You will design, develop, and maintain critical software applications to streamline Pakistan’s trade processes. Your work will ensure the smooth operation of PSW’s services by building high-quality, scalable systems.

2. Microservices Architecture

A major part of your role will involve transforming monolithic applications into modern microservices architectures. This will enable better scalability and resilience of the software system.

3. API Development

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Rest & GraphQL APIs, which form the backbone of various services used for trade facilitation.

4. Working with New Technologies

You will work with advanced tools and frameworks such as .NET Core, Entity Framework Core, RabbitMQ, and potentially Golang and NoSQL databases. Your experience in these areas will help improve the overall system efficiency and performance.

5. Collaboration and Teamwork

As part of an agile team, you will collaborate with colleagues to meet deadlines, participate in sprint planning, and share knowledge on best practices in software engineering.
