Responsibilities of the Senior Software Engineer
As a Senior Software Engineer at TechSea, your role will include a range of important tasks aimed at ensuring the success of the company’s software products:
1. Guide the Team and Lead Technical Solutions
You’ll be responsible for leading the development team and providing guidance in creating end-to-end technical solutions. Your experience will be key in helping the team navigate challenges and implement high-quality solutions.
2. Develop New Features and Write Application Code
The Senior Software Engineer will plan and develop new features, using technologies such as Node.js, React.js, and MongoDB to deliver robust software applications. Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code is critical in this role.
3. Design Microservices Architecture
Designing and implementing microservices architecture will be one of your key responsibilities. This includes ensuring that the services are scalable, performant, and easily maintainable for long-term use.
4. Troubleshoot and Ensure Application Performance
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the performance of applications by troubleshooting production issues and implementing solutions. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining and optimizing the application’s efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical expertise and experience working in a fast-paced development environment:
1. Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
2. 5+ Years of Full Stack Development Experience
The role requires at least 5 years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development, especially in technologies such as Node.js, React.js, and MongoDB. Knowledge of microservices architecture is also a must.
3. Experience with Microservices and Agile-Scrum
The Senior Software Engineer will need to have experience with microservices architecture, Agile-Scrum development methodologies, and using tools like Git, JIRA, and Slack for effective collaboration.
4. Familiarity with Kubernetes, Redis, and ElasticSearch
While experience with Kubernetes, Redis, and ElasticSearch is optional, it will be considered a plus and will help you perform the role more effectively, especially in managing large-scale applications.
Work Environment and Schedule
This is an on-site position located in Valencia Town, Lahore. The office hours are from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM PKT, Monday to Friday, allowing you to work alongside international teams in a collaborative environment.
