Experience

Minimum 7 years of experience (with PhD) or 10 years of experience (with MS/MPhil/MSc) in the relevant field for forensic examination or testing of fertilizers and pesticides. This includes supervisory and management experience in 17025 accredited laboratories.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Manager

As a Senior Technical Manager at PAFDA, your primary responsibilities will revolve around ensuring that the Agriculture Testing Lab operates efficiently and meets the required safety and quality standards for fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural products. Your main duties will include:

1. Managing the Lab Operations: You will oversee the day-to-day activities of the Agriculture Testing Lab, ensuring all operations are aligned with global standards.

2. Forensic Examination and Testing: You will lead the forensic examination and testing of fertilizers and pesticides to ensure they comply with regulatory requirements.

3. Ensuring Compliance with ISO Standards: You will be responsible for ensuring that the laboratory activities comply with the ISO 17025 standard, an internationally recognized laboratory accreditation standard.

4. Supervision and Training: As a senior manager, you will supervise lab staff and provide training to ensure they follow standard operating procedures and maintain high testing standards.

5. Maintaining Records and Reports: You will keep accurate records and reports of all testing and forensic examinations conducted in the lab, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Senior Technical Manager role, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. Educational Qualifications:
– PhD in Genetics, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Horticulture, Soil Science, Analytical Chemistry, or Plant Physiology from a recognized university/institute.
OR
– MS/MPhil or MSc. (Hons.) in any of the above subjects with a minimum of 45% marks from an institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

2. Experience:
– Minimum 7 years of experience (with PhD) or 10 years of experience (with MS/MPhil/MSc) in the relevant field (testing or forensic examination of agricultural products, fertilizers, and pesticides).
– Experience in managing laboratory operations in an ISO 17025 accredited lab is highly desirable.

3. Skills:
– Expertise in forensic testing of fertilizers and pesticides.
– Strong laboratory management and supervision skills.
– In-depth knowledge of ISO 17025 laboratory standards and procedures.
