Experience

Minimum 7 years of experience in food testing or forensic examination of food products. This includes management and supervision experience in 17025 accredited laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Technical Manager in the Food Testing Lab, you will be responsible for overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of food testing, and maintaining quality standards. Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Managing Food Testing Operations: Oversee the operations of the Food Testing Lab to ensure that all food products are tested in compliance with the required standards and regulations.

2. Forensic Examination and Testing: Lead the forensic examination and testing of food products, ensuring they are safe and meet the standards set by the relevant authorities.

3. Laboratory Management: Supervise and manage the laboratory team, ensuring efficient work processes, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with ISO 17025 standards.

4. Training and Development: Provide training to staff on testing procedures, new technologies, and quality management practices to improve overall lab performance.

5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of test results, ensuring all reports meet regulatory requirements. Prepare detailed reports for authorities and stakeholders.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Senior Technical Manager position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Educational Qualifications:
– PhD in Human Nutrition, Animal Nutrition, Food Safety & Controls, Food Quality Management, Food Science & Technology, Microbiology, Dairy Technology, Meat Technology, or Analytical Chemistry from a recognized university/institute.
OR
– MS/MPhil or MSc. (Hons.) in any of the above subjects with a minimum of 45% marks from an institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

2. Experience:
– Minimum 7 years of experience in food testing or forensic examination of food products.
– At least 3 years of managerial experience in laboratory supervision and management in an ISO 17025 accredited lab.

3. Skills:
– Expertise in food testing and forensic examination.
– Strong management skills to supervise lab operations effectively.
– Familiarity with ISO 17025 accredited laboratory standards.
