Job Overview
The Specialist (Strategic Planning) will be a key player in designing and implementing strategies aimed at promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment.
This position is part of the development project titled “Strategic Planning and Implementation Unit 2024-27,” and the contract is extendable subject to performance and project continuation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on international, regional laws, and successful models for women’s empowerment and gender equality, applying findings to develop impactful strategies.
2. Strategic Planning: Design and implement comprehensive strategies to promote gender equality and monitor progress toward achieving the international commitments made by Pakistan in this regard.
3. Communication: Draft reports, proposals, and strategic documents. Communicate findings and strategies clearly to senior management and other stakeholders through written and verbal presentations.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with government agencies, NGOs, and other partners to ensure the effective implementation of gender equality programs across the province of Punjab.
5. Technical Proficiency: Utilize data analysis, word processing, and publication software to prepare reports and publications that showcase the department’s progress on strategic initiatives.
Key Requirements
1. Education: A Master’s or M.Phil degree (16 years of education) in Gender Studies, Women’s Studies, Public Administration, Public Policy, or Sociology from a recognized university in Pakistan.
2. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant field, including strategic planning, research, and policy development focused on gender equality.
3. Skills: Strong knowledge of international and regional laws, successful models for women’s empowerment, and analytical abilities to assess and implement strategic initiatives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is proficiency in using various office software for data analysis and documentation.

This job is a project-based position with an initial contract period until June 2027. If the project is extended, the incumbent may be considered for an extension based on satisfactory performance.
