Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is looking for a Strategic Advisor for WeBOC Transformation, a key role in transforming Pakistan’s trade and customs operations.
This position is ideal for experienced IT professionals with expertise in trade facilitation, customs digitalization, and business process automation.
What is WeBOC and Why is it Important?
WeBOC (Web-Based One Customs) is Pakistan’s digital customs clearance system that streamlines trade operations and enhances efficiency at the national level.
The Strategic Advisor will play a crucial role in modernizing and improving this system to align with international best practices.
Job Responsibilities
1. Leading IT Transformation in Trade and Customs
Oversee large-scale digital transformation projects for trade and customs automation.
Ensure the implementation of microservices-based platforms for improved efficiency.
2. Process Reengineering and Policy Reform
Analyze and redesign trade and customs business processes for automation.
Develop policies that align with global best practices in trade facilitation.
Work with government agencies to implement policy reforms for trade efficiency.
3. System Integration and Risk Management
Integrate trade facilitation platforms with National Single Window (NSW) and customs management systems.
Enhance risk management systems to improve security and efficiency.
4. Collaboration with Stakeholders
Work closely with government bodies, international trade organizations, and financial institutions (e.g., WCO, World Bank, IFC).
Align digital initiatives with Pakistan’s economic goals and trade policies.
5. Ensuring Compliance with Global Standards
Implement strategies that meet international customs digitalization standards.
Ensure smooth trade facilitation through modern technology solutions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Experience
Minimum 12+ years of experience in IT transformation, customs, or trade facilitation.
Prior work with government agencies, PSW, or FBR is an advantage.
Education
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related professional field.
Technical and Soft Skills
Expertise in system architecture and business process automation.
Strong understanding of customs management platforms and risk management systems.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Data-driven decision-making and analytical capabilities.
