Job Overview:
The Strategic Advisor for WeBOC Transformation will play a key role in the Information Technology (IT) Consulting domain. This role focuses on transforming the WeBOC system, which is essential for Pakistan’s trade and customs operations.
This position is contract-based, and although there are no specific age or gender requirements, a minimum of 12 years of experience in the field is necessary. The role demands expertise in working with government agencies and international organizations to bring about significant changes in trade processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Strategic Advisor, you will be tasked with:
1. Leading IT Transformation Projects: Oversee the implementation and transformation of large-scale IT projects, specifically those related to customs and trade facilitation.
2. System Architecture & Automation: Utilize your expertise in microservices-based platforms and business process automation to enhance the effectiveness of the WeBOC system.
3. Trade Process Redesign: Analyze and redesign trade and customs-related processes to improve efficiency and automation.
4. Policy Reform & Integration: Assist in policy reforms and process reengineering, ensuring seamless system integration for better trade facilitation.
5. Collaboration: Work with government bodies like PSW, FBR, and international organizations such as WCO, World Bank, and IFC to develop global best practices in customs and border management.
Required Experience:
To qualify for the role, applicants must possess:
1. 12+ Years of Experience in leading large-scale IT transformation projects in customs, trade facilitation, or public sector systems.
2. Strong knowledge of system architecture, microservices-based platforms, and business process automation.
3. Expertise in Customs Digitalization and National Single Window Systems (NSW).
4. Prior experience working with PSW, FBR, or similar public sector entities is highly valued.
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will have:
1. MBA or Master’s Degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Information Technology, or similar professional disciplines.
2. Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and analyze complex business processes.
