Role and Responsibilities of a SOC Team Lead
Key Responsibilities
1. Monitor & Analyze Security Threats
– Continuously monitor systems for potential security breaches
– Analyze logs and alerts using SIEM tools
2. Incident Response & Attack Analysis
– Investigate security incidents and take necessary action
– Conduct detailed attack analysis to understand and prevent threats
3. Security Policies & SOPs
– Implement and review security policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
– Ensure compliance with industry security standards
4. Capacity Planning & Business Reviews
– Assess SOC capacity and plan for future needs
– Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) and report findings to senior management
5. Team Leadership & Training
– Lead and mentor SOC analysts
– Provide training on the latest cybersecurity trends and tools
