Job Responsibilities of a Zonal Monitoring Officer (Fleet)
1. Fleet Management
Oversee and monitor waste collection vehicles.
Ensure that the fleet is well-maintained and functional.
Coordinate with drivers and maintenance staff to prevent breakdowns.
2. Workshop & Yard Management
Supervise maintenance and repair activities in the workshop.
Manage vehicle parking and organization in designated yards.
Ensure safety regulations and cleanliness in workshops and yards.
3. Administrative & Management Duties
Keep records of fleet performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
Monitor staff working under fleet operations.
Report operational issues to senior management and suggest improvements.
4. Compliance & Reporting
Ensure vehicles and drivers follow safety and environmental regulations.
Submit reports on fleet performance, repairs, and operational efficiency.
Communicate with supervisors regarding issues that need immediate attention.
