About Company

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) is a constitutional body established under Article 242 of the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973. Governed by the FPSC Function Rules of 1978, the Commission plays a pivotal role in recruiting qualified individuals for public service roles.

Comprising one Chairman and eleven Members, all appointed by the President of Pakistan, the FPSC ensures a transparent and merit-based selection process.

Key Functions and Responsibilities

  • Recruitment: Conducts tests and examinations for recruitment to civil services and posts in BPS-16 and above.
  • Advisory Role: Provides advice to the President on recruitment methods and qualification standards.
  • Eligibility: Membership is restricted to retired Civil Servants (BS-21 and above), with at least one member being a retired judge, a retired military officer (Major General or equivalent), and a woman from the private sector.
