Job Description

Engro Fertilizers Ltd., a leading name in Pakistan’s agribusiness sector, is seeking a qualified and experienced Audit Officer to join their team at the Karachi Head Office. This role is essential in maintaining the company’s financial health, ensuring compliance, and supporting the growth of one of the country’s most respected organizations.

Key Requirements

To be eligible for the position of Audit Officer, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification: ACCA qualified or a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (BS Commerce).

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in auditing or a related field.

Core Responsibilities

As an Audit Officer, you will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the company’s financial processes. Your role will include:

  • Internal Audits: Assist in conducting internal audits of financial and operational processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. This involves a thorough examination of financial statements, operational procedures, and internal controls.
  • Risk Evaluation and Control: Identify and evaluate risks within the company’s processes. Provide recommendations to enhance internal controls and reduce potential risks. This is crucial in safeguarding the company’s assets and ensuring financial integrity.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with open audit recommendations. You will maintain a tracker to ensure all recommendations are followed up and provide weekly updates on the status of these recommendations.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with various departments across the Group to gather necessary information, understand processes, and ensure audits are accurate and comprehensive. This requires effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain the Corporate Audit Department’s central filing system and library, ensuring that all records are easily accessible and up-to-date. This includes retrieving information from records as needed and maintaining a database of any irregularities reported to Internal Audit.
