Job Description
The Airports Security Force (ASF), under the Ministry of Aviation, is seeking qualified candidates for the permanent position of Assistant Director (BS-17). This role is crucial for ensuring the security and safety of Pakistan’s airports, a vital aspect of the country’s aviation infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess at least a Second Class or Grade ‘C’ Master’s/Bachelor’s (16 years) degree or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Physical Standards of Fitness
Applicants must meet the following physical standards:
- Height:
- Male: Minimum 5′-6″ (168 cm)
- Female: Minimum 5′-2″ (157 cm)
- Weight:
- Male: Minimum 106 lbs (48.1 kg)
- Female: Minimum 99.2 lbs (45 kg)
- Chest Measurement (for males only):
- Unexpanded: Minimum 32″ (83 cm)
- Expanded: Minimum 34″ (88 cm)
Age Limit
The age requirement for this position is 22-30 years. However, there is a general relaxation of five (5) years in the upper age limit, making the maximum age limit 35 years.
Role and Responsibilities
As an Assistant Director in the Airports Security Force, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising security operations at airports to ensure the safety of passengers, staff, and property.
- Implementing security policies and procedures in accordance with national and international standards.
- Coordinating with other security agencies and airport management to address security concerns.
- Conducting inspections and audits to ensure compliance with security regulations.
- Managing and training security personnel to maintain high standards of vigilance and response.
