Job Description

The Education Department GB, under the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit Baltistan, is inviting applications for several positions, including District Inspector of Schools, Assistant District Inspector of Schools, Assistant Education Officer, Assistant Inspector of Schools, and Assistant Director Education (BS-17).

These roles are integral to the development and management of educational institutions across Gilgit Baltistan.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:

A Second Class or Grade ‘C’ Master’s degree with B.Ed./M.Ed. or an equivalent qualification. Candidates with a Master’s degree or BS with 16 years of schooling in Education or higher qualifications in Education are exempt from the B.Ed./M.Ed./B.Ed. (Hons.) requirement.

Experience:

Minimum of five years of post-qualification experience in Teaching, Administration, or Establishment of Educational Institutions.

District Inspector of Schools / Assistant District Inspector of Schools / Assistant Education Officer:

  • Educational Oversight: Monitor and evaluate the performance of schools within their district, ensuring that educational standards are maintained.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage administrative tasks related to school operations, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with educational policies.
  • Support and Guidance: Provide support and guidance to school heads and teachers, helping to resolve issues and improve the quality of education.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on the educational performance and needs of schools to higher authorities.

Assistant Inspector of Schools / Assistant Director Education (BS-17):

  • Inspection and Evaluation: Conduct inspections of schools and educational institutions to assess their performance and adherence to educational guidelines.
  • Policy Implementation: Assist in the implementation of educational policies and reforms to enhance the effectiveness of the educational system.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with various stakeholders, including teachers, school management, and government officials, to ensure smooth functioning of educational programs.
  • Development: Contribute to the development of educational strategies and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education.
