Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Requirement: Second Class or Grade ‘C’ LLB degree or equivalent qualification from a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
- Experience:
- Seventeen (17) years of post-qualification experience in BS-17 and above in the field of Labour Administration, OR
- Five (5) years of post-qualification experience in BS-19 if initially appointed in BS-19 in the field of Labour Administration.
Age Limit
- The candidate must be between 37-45 years of age.
- There is an additional five (5) years of general relaxation in the upper age limit.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
As a Registrar Trade Union, the selected candidate will have several key responsibilities, including:
- Administration of Trade Unions: Overseeing the registration and regulation of trade unions, ensuring compliance with legal standards and regulations.
- Labour Administration: Implementing and enforcing labour laws, policies, and procedures to protect workers’ rights.
- Dispute Resolution: Mediating and resolving industrial disputes between workers and employers to maintain industrial harmony.
- Policy Development: Contributing to the development of policies related to labour and industrial relations.
- Supervision and Management: Leading a team of labour officers and other staff within the NIRC.
