Educational Qualification:

• Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Sciences with a Second Class or Grade ‘C’
• OR Bachelor’s degree with a diploma in Library Science from a University, or Bachelor of Library Science with a Second Class or Grade ‘C’, along with five years of professional experience in BPS-16, or eight years of experience if not in BPS-16.

Age Limit:

• 22-28 years (relaxable up to 33 years)

Domicile/Quota:

• Punjab (Open Merit)

Job Responsibilities

As a Research Librarian, you will play a crucial role in managing and organizing library resources to support research and development within the Naval Headquarters. Your key responsibilities will include:

Collection Management:

• Organizing, cataloging, and maintaining library materials, including books, journals, and digital resources.

Research Support:

• Assisting research staff by providing access to relevant literature and information needed for their projects.

Information Retrieval:

• Facilitating efficient and effective retrieval of information through various library databases and systems.

Library Administration:

1. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the library, ensuring that resources are available and accessible to users.

User Assistance:

• Helping library users with their information needs and providing guidance on how to use library resources effectively.
